November 1974 was by far the busiest month for concerts
I ever had. It was a real marathon of events. On the 5th we
saw Renaissance at the Berkeley Zellerbach Theater. Chick
Corea topped the bill, but left before he performed. Just 3 days
later we saw George Harrison for two shows at the Oakland
Coliseum. Billy Preston opened the show with Ravi Shankar
second. The very next day we saw Caravan for two shows at
The Berkeley Keystone Theatre. The opening band
was the local group, Earthquake. We were able to even go
back stage and meet Caravan after the show. The very next
day we saw Fairport Convention with Sandy Denny at the
Berkeley Community Theatre. The Ozark Mountain
Daredevils opened. We met Sandy Denny back stage
after the show. Just 3 days later we saw Deep Purple, ELO
and Elf at the Oakland Coliseum. In that month we saw
acts at every venue in the Bay Area.
