September 1974 we only saw one concert, Rick Wakeman's,
"Journey to the Center of the Earth". It was his first solo
tour and included a full orchestra with narrator and props.
I think he was ahead of his time. My calendar shows that
I planned on seeing Eric Burdon and Uriah Heep. I believe
that those concerts were announced, but canceled. It also
makes note of Evil Knievel's historic attempt to jump the
Snake River Canyon on a jet powered motorcycle. One of the
the most hyped up and disappointing events in history.
